Rick Johnson

Facilities Coordinator

Areas of Oversight: Security, Maintenance,  Transportation, Cleaning

I am married to my best friend and daughter of Christ Sunde Winecoff Johnson. We have two sons, Jacob and Kai Johnson and they are the best gifts from God that a man could ever receive. For most of my life I have been surrounded by an awesome Christian family who  helped sculpt my life as a Christian. When I was 15, I had an uncle (Dennis Kyseth) who loved me dearly and lead me to salvation.

I have been with M217 going on 7 years now. It has been an adventure/growing experience every step of the way.

Andrew & Gena Thomas

Outreach and Missions Coordinators

Areas of Oversight: Community Groups and Missions

Andrew is an adventurer, before Christ he was on a continual search for the next inspiring route up a mountain. He was born in Concord, raised in Midland and churched most of his life. Only after a season of irresponsibility that left him living simply in a tent West of Brevard, NC, did he make Jesus his own. Andrew came down the mountain when he found his future bride, and when they were seven months married they left the country. They have three children.

Gena was a missionary in northern Mexico alongside Andrew for four years where they began a coffee shop ministry that sought to bridge the gap between international rock climbers and Mexican locals. She is the author of A Smoldering Wick: Igniting Missions Work with Sustainable Practices, and she hosts #JustMissions - a Twitter chat on justice and missions the first Thursday of every month at 1pm. You can find several of her articles at or at her website
